Early Childhood Developmental Screening Program

Helping Children Get the Right Start We partner with daycares and elementary schools to offer free developmental screenings for children ages 3 to 8. These evaluations help detect early signs of: - Communication delays - Social-emotional challenges - Learning and behavioral concerns - Potential autism spectrum or attention difficulties Who is Eligible? - Children attending participating schools or daycares - Families with or without Medicaid or insurance coverage What’s Included? - Developmental and behavioral screeners - Parent interviews and observations - Assessment oversight by a licensed psychologist Cost: - Billed to Medicaid when available - Fully funded by the Foundation for uninsured children Goal: To identify needs early and provide families with clear next steps—whether that’s additional testing, speech/language referrals, or behavioral supports
